NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING DATE, TIME AND LOCATION OF ELECTION

In accordance with WAC 135-110-220 the Asotin County Conservation District Board of Supervisors will hold a public meeting at 6:30 pm on December 10, 2015 at the district office 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA to adopt a resolution setting the date, time, and location of an election to fill a Conservation District Supervisorís expiring term.

Notice of "Elected" Supervisor Term Expiration

An election for a seat on the Asotin County Conservation District (ACCD) Board will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016. The purpose of the election is to elect one supervisor to serve a three (3) year term on the ACCD Board. Supervisors are public officials who set policy and direct the activities of the conservation district. They serve without compensation, but are eligible to be reimbursed for appropriate expenses. Candidates must be registered voters residing within the conservation district boundary and may be required to be landowners or operators of a farm. Anyone interested in applying to be a candidate for this elected position must provide a complete application to the ACCD office 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA by the filing deadline of February 3, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. Application forms and additional information are available at the ACCD office 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA, during normal business hours or at the Washington State Conservation Commission website at ####. NOTICE OF ELECTION

An election for a seat on the Asotin County Conservation District (ACCD) Board will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at The Lewis Clark Moose Lodge, 814 Sixth Street, Clarkston, WA. Polls will open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 2:00 p.m. Registered voters who reside within the conservation district boundary are eligible to vote. Absentee ballots are available upon request for eligible voters, but must be requested on or before February 13, 2016 by 4:30 p.m. by contacting the ACCD office at (509) 758-8012 x103, 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA. Absentee ballots must be received at the district office at 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA no later than 4:30 p.m. on February 19, 2016 OR delivered to the election polling site at The Lewis Clark Moose Lodge, 814 Sixth Street, Clarkston, WA on March 3, 2016 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Election procedures are available at the district office. NOTICE OF ELECTION CANCELLATION

In accordance with WAC 135-110-370 the election for a board seat on the Asotin County Conservation District set for March 03, 2016 at the Lewis Clark Moose Lodge, 814 Sixth Street, Clarkston, WA has been cancelled because the incumbent has been reelected by reason of being the only person filing for the position by the filing deadline. Therefore, no poll site, mail, or absentee balloting will be performed.
